Morepork Riverside Lodge offers friendly hosted accomodation set in 4 acres of native bush and gardens.We have 2 Alpacas( August 2010)1 goat, 2 sheep and our cat, Panpoot.Paul really enjoys a morning walk and should you stir early enough would very much like you to join him. We enjoy our food so evening meals are available...both Gourmet and basic. We are happy to recommend tours and attractions and can organise all bookings here at Morepork Lodge..Whats a Morepork!!???...Our Native NZ owl...often heard at night in the nearby bush softly cooing.." Morepork Morepork"...and keep a look out throughout the day for Tuis, Kingfishers, Loorakeets, fantails and Pukekos.l
Our water if harvested from the sky and held in a large water tank..then filtered through paper and UV filters...and all grey water is treated and dispersed through the native gardens. We have 5 raised bed gardens which we like to think of as "organic"....in which we grow many of the Veges etc that we serve for dinner or breakfast..especially tomatoes!
We definately recommend at least a 3 night ( 2 full day ) stay here at Morepork so as to really appreciate the Bay of Islands and have a memorable kiwi experience!. Barb and Paul are both NZ born and bred with travel stories that we would love to share!
If its winter time that you are here, then come home to a roaring fire and toast marshmellows and tell us about your day.

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations less than four weeks out may be charged NZ$50.00
Cancellations less than 48 hours out may be charge one night’s accommodation.
No Shows will be charged one nights accommodation.
