Policies

In order to avoid fraud, only make prepayments (reservations or deposits) using a credit card (or any other card that does not require a PIN number for online purchases) or PayPal. Never make an advanced payment using cash, checks, money orders or bank transfers. Learn why.

1) METHOD OF PAYMENT:

- 30% of the total amount within 7 days of rental confirmation;
- the settlement 40 days before the start of rental period;

2) The rent must be paid within the terms indicated on the booking form. In the event of the client failing to respect these terms PETROLO reserves the right to cancel the reservation. Failure to pay the balance of the rental (40 days before arrival) leads to automatic cancellation of the rental and the loss of the deposit.
Where the rental agreement is made 39 days before the start of the rental period, the entire
balance must be paid to finalise the contract.
3) In the event of cancellation on the part of the client, he/she will be entitled to reimbursement of the rental fee subject to the deduction of the following penalties:
10% of the total rental fee if the cancellation is notified within 60 days of the start of rental period;
30% if cancellation is notified between 59 and 40 days before the start of rental period;
50% if cancellation is notified between 39 and 22 days before the start of rental period;
80% if cancellation is notified within 21 days before the start of rental period;
All cancellations must be made in WRITING .
It is highly advisable to take out travel insurance.
4) In the event of serious and substantiated circumstances, PETROLO reserves the right to annul the contract, and return the amount paid.
5) The client is obliged to pay the cautionary deposit indicated in the rental confirmation, otherwise PETROLO is entitled to refuse entry. The signatory of the reservation form will be held responsible for abiding by the rules laid out in the contract.
6) Camping in the grounds (including in tents or caravans) is strictly prohibited at all times.
7) Pets require special permission.
8) In the case of any controversy which may arise, the competent authority shall be the Court of Florence.
