In order to avoid fraud, only make prepayments (reservations or deposits) using a credit card (or any other card that does not require a PIN number for online purchases) or PayPal. Never make an advanced payment using cash, checks, money orders or bank transfers. Learn why.

In the event of notification of cancellation, the following cancellation fee shall apply on the full booking:
More than 30 days prior to arrival : 0% cancellation fee
More than 7 days prior to arrival : 50% cancellation fee
Less than 7 days prior to arrival : 100% cancellation fee

Meridian Hospitality Guest House: Terms & Conditions

• A charge of R350 p/p will be levied to your account for anyone who has not checked in, but appears to have utilised the room or facilities at any time. If you have made a single booking and wish to change it to a double please let management know.
• For Confirmation of bookings and payment ; For a stay of 3 (three) nights or less Meridian require payment for 1 (one) nights accommodation as a deposit. For any stay of 4 (four) nights or more Meridian require a 50% deposit of the total accommodation cost on confirmation of booking AND the balance due on or before check-in. Payment with credit card on arrival only accepted if pre-arranged. Please note – we do not take Amex & Diners. Only South African Rand are accepted when paying with cash.
• We accept that we must agree the final dates jointly with you and only then can the necessary deposits be made into your bank account – this amount would be accepted as a confirmation of the booking and as acceptance without reservation of your standard terms and conditions. On breach of contract all monies paid will be retained as liquidated damages. For all accommodation bookings it is a requirement that the payment is to be made in full before check-in. For stays of one month or more it is a pre-requisite that each month be paid in advance on pre-arranged dates. We acknowledge and accept the cancellation policy that will be applied to all cancellations/reservations.
• Cancellation Policy:
* cancelled after check-in, forfeit the total accommodation cost. Meridian is happy to refund you the money for the nights we were able to resell the room.
* cancelled less than 3 days prior to the reserved date, forfeit the full deposit &/or payment.
* Within 7 to 14 days prior to the reserved date, forfeit 75 % of the deposit.
* Within 14 to 21 days prior to the reserved date, forfeit 50% of the deposit.
* Within 21 to 28 days prior to the reserved date, forfeit 25% of the deposit.
This offer is made on a first come first served basis. Cheques are only accepted when confirmed prior to check-in and ONLY as bank guaranteed cheques.
• Any breach of our conditions will result in the immediate cancellation/cessation of any agreed contract, without prejudice.
• We reserve the right to increase prices which will only be done when essential to remain successful but always to ensure quality accommodation at highly competitive prices.
• Room allocation is done at random and will be based on room availability at time of check-in unless specified at time of booking. In certain cases, room allocation may be affected by guests who choose to extend their stay whilst still with Meridian Hospitality Guest House. It may become necessary for accommodation to be in one or more of the suites available due to required bed/room configurations/or other local establishment within an acceptable proximity to Meridian Hospitality Guest House.
• We acknowledge that all clauses stated in Meridian Hospitality Guest House Overview describing confirmation of Bookings, Dates, Deposits and Payments are fully inclusive in your Standard Terms and Conditions.
• Any overseas bookings will need to deposit in our bank account upon confirmation of the dates. This typically is done by bank draft or electronic money order dependent on the bank or time available to do this. We accept and take note of VAT status as stated in the initial proposal.
• By regulated health laws this is a smoke free environment. There are numerous gardens patios and outdoor areas for you to smoke without inconveniencing yourself and others. ANY IRRRESPONSIBILE ACTIONS OF A GUEST WHO FLAGRANTLY IGNORES THESE REGULATIONS SAID GUEST ASSUMES FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE LIABILITY IN THIS REGARD. IN ADDITION, ANY COSTS INCURRED FOR A LAUNDRY SERVICE FOR SMOKE AFFECTED LINEN AND CURTAINS WILL BE THE LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY OF THE GUEST OR COMPANY THAT SAID GUEST REPRESENTS AND WHO IGNORES THESE HEALTH REGULATIONS !The costs for a room laundry of curtains and linen and wipe down of walls, clean-up are in the region of R600,00 per room.
• Airport Transfers- Meridian Hospitality is making use of an external company to provide transfers to guests. Meridian Hospitality will not be held responsible for rate increases by 3rd parties or when the driver of a transfer company is late. Some transfer companies do charge an additional fee if transfers occur after 21h00.Please include arrival time / transfer time when enquiring about transfers costs.
• The Office closes at 17:00pm, and latest check-in time will be 18h00, unless arranged 24 hours beforehand. Late arrivals will be accepted only for accounts settled in full. A late arrival surcharge of R250.00 will be levied for any unplanned late arrivals, after normal check in time.
