Bears’ Place Guest House offers beautiful ocean view studios for 1-4 guests, or rent our entire 4BE/4BA home. Great Kailua Kona location, quiet setting, just 10 minutes to beaches, golf, harbor, and airport. 10% weekly discount.

All studios have kitchenettes with refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, electric skillet, rice cooker, hot water pot, and dishes. The Orchid Suite has a full kitchen with modern appliances. All studios have full baths, cable TV, free wireless internet, comfortable queen size beds, and sleeper sofas for extra guests. Glass sliders open onto spacious, covered lanais, and there is free, convenient, on-site parking. The Pineapple and Plumeria Suites also have a separate sitting area and walk-in closets. A washing machine, dryer, detergent and ironing board are available free of charge. We supply beach chairs, towels, coolers, and boogie boards.

The house is divided into 4 lockable studios. It has 4 queen beds, 8 sleeper sofas, a fully equipped kitchen, and wraparound lanais on both floors. Sleeps 16.

Your hosts, Anne and daughter, Nanette have lived in Kona for over 20 years and have explored this beautiful island extensively. We greet our guests in person and are available throughout their stay to help plan their outings and direct them to the beaches best suited to what they wish to do that day. We especially enjoy our European visitors, as we both speak German.

A welcome basket with fresh tropical fruit, baked goods and juice awaits our guests upon arrival. Coffee, tea and cocoa are always provided.

Curfew:

None

In order to avoid fraud, only make prepayments (reservations or deposits) using a credit card (or any other card that does not require a PIN number for online purchases) or PayPal. Never make an advanced payment using cash, checks, money orders or bank transfers. Learn why.

Studio Reservations: There is a two night minimum for studios. Reservations for 2 nights require payment in full. All others require a deposit of 50% of the total reservation. The balance will be charged to the credit card at check-in, unless guests request to pay with cash or travelers checks.

Studio Cancellation: Guests can receive a refund, less a USD$25 processing fee, if they cancel their reservation in writing at least six weeks prior to scheduled arrival. Otherwise, the deposit may still be refunded if the room is re-rented. Guests who find it necessary to arrive late or depart early are still responsible for the full amount of their reservation, unless we can rebook the room.

Home Reservations:There is a three night minimum for the house, unless only two nights are available. Reservations require a 50% deposit and the balance is due eight weeks prior to arrival. There is no cleaning fee and we do not require a security deposit.

Home Cancellation: Guests can receive a refund, less a USD$200 processing fee, if they cancel their reservation in writing at least eight weeks prior to scheduled arrival. Otherwise, the deposit may still be refunded if the home is re-rented. Guests who find it necessary to arrive late or depart early are still responsible for the full amount of their reservation.
