I always dreamt of welcoming guests to my home in a stunning place of the world. At 88 Lodge I have certainly achieved that. Living most of my life in UK I arrived in Northland and have not left since. Not even to visit all the other lovely places in New Zealand. It is just so perfect here why go elsewhere?
Gardening and food are a passion. Meeting and enjoying good times with people always happens when you run a B&B. Relaxing in or by the pool on a hot summers day can't be beaten. Having beaches, coastlines, forests and countryside all around makes life wonderful.
The working life of employment is no longer a chore. Goodbye the daily grind. 88 Lodge is now the heart and soul of life, come and enjoy it with us.

The profile picture is taken aboard the day sail ship 'R.Tucker Thompson'. Spending the day sailing in the Bay of islands aboard this magnificent ship is just one of the 'must-do's' . It is our strongest recommendation you plan to stay a minimum of 3 nights to give you 2 full days to explore and enjoy. Staying a week is much better, and you will still wish you had stayed longer

Rustic Stunning Sub-tropical gardens surround our classical Kiwi home and secluded solar heated swimming pool. Originally the home of the major land owner in the area 88 Lodge Luxury Bed & Breakfast is in beautiful countryside but also central to the wonderful Bay of Islands and Northland of New Zealand. Just 6 minutes to bustling Kerikeri’s shops, restaurants and famous heritage sites. Rooms and suites have king size beds and are all en-suite. Memorable breakfasts using local produce to suit your personal tastes for a memorable start to your day. Local attractions include 3 golf clubs, sea activities of all kinds, nearby sparkling beaches, and unique bus tours along 90 mile beach. Countryside and forest walks, garden tours, vineyards, Arts and crafts trail, and historical sites. Frankly a great all year round destination. Because of our intimate size, cancellations affect us significantly. Consequently we adhere to a strict cancellation policy. NZ$100 deposit Non-returnable. Thirty days out, 30% of total booking cost. Seven days or less 100% of total booking cost. We will make ever endeavour to re-book and if successful you will not incur these charges. We therefore recommend Travel Insurance.
