CANCELLATION POLICY
To avoid any misunderstanding ~ a booking constitutes a binding contract. All guests confirming a booking are advised to take out insurance to cover the full cost of their accommodation booking in the event of a cancellation. We will seek full compensation for any cancelled accommodation, including premature curtailment and we are not obliged to any refunds

Not completing stay of reservation
In the event of a premature departure the guest will be liable for the full stay of the original booking made

As we receive various booking requests for the same period of stay, we work on a first pay first serve basis. First guest that pay for their accommodation booking is first serve to the room and we are not obliged to confirmation of any other booking for the same room for the same period of stay

NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT = SECURES BOOKING
Minimum 50 % non refundable deposit payment secures your booking unless otherwise noted
Should your stay be for 1 night only 100 % non refundable deposit payment secures your accommodation booking
Should your booking be 15 days or less before the date of initial arrival the full accommodation booking value (100 %) is payable as a non refundable deposit payment to secure the booking

CHILD POLICY
Children staying in their own room pay the full rate applicable to the room
1 x Adult + 1 x Child U/12 sharing = Full rate applicable to the room
1 x Child U/12 sharing with 2 x adults from 50% of adult sharing rate per night (Room Only)
We regret that not more than 1 x Child U/12 are allowed to share with 2 x adults
Children U/2 stays for free (Sharing a room with adults - a sleeping cot will be made available)

DOUBLE BOOKING
Should a double booking occur for the same room type, Sea Otters Lodge reserve the right at their sole discretion to accommodate the 2nd guest to arrive in another room type @ Sea Otters Lodge at no extra cost to the guest

SLEEPER BEDS / COUCHES
Single sleeper couches (if applicable) are recommended for children U/12 only and any person older than 12 years making use of this facility do so entirely at their own risk

BRAAI / BBQ FACILITY
Guests making use of this facility do so entirely at their own risk – please note that fires are extremely dangerous and that guests must please treat it with caution, respect and care at all times

SMOKING
We regret that no smoking is allowed inside the Guest House and bedrooms, should a guest not abide by this term the guest will be liable to an R 500 fee payable for additional cleaning and freshening of the room

GENERAL
Guest are requested not to use the towels to remove make-up or to clean their shoes as these stains leave permanent marks and such towels will be considered as damaged and be replaced at the expense of the guest
We regret that not more than 2 x adults will be allowed to share a room unless prior written agreement has been made and agreed upon

ARRIVAL
Arrival / Check in from 2 pm - 8 pm
Prior arrangement to be made at least 2 days in advance for a late arrival and agreed upon in writing, the guest will be liable to payment of a late arrival fee for arrivals / check in after 8:30 pm
Should a guest not check-in before 8:30 pm and prior arrangement has not been made for a late arrival and agreed upon the booking will be considered as a no-show and cancelled

LATE ARRIVAL FEES
For an arrival 8:30 pm - 9:30 pm the guest will be liable to a late check in fee of R 250
For an arrival 9:30 pm - 10:30 pm the guest will be liable to a late check in fee of R 400
For an arrival 10:30 pm - 12 am the guest will be liable to a late check in fee of R 500
No check in after 12 am

DEPARTURE
Departure before 10:30 am
Prior arrangement to be made at least 1 day in advance for a late departure and agreed upon in writing - Late departures if agreed upon are subject to the room being vacated by 11 am - thereafter guest are welcome to make use of the lounge areas and patio
The guest will be liable to payment of a late room departure fee for a room departure after 11 am

LATE ROOM DEPARTURE FEES
For a departure 11 am - 11:30 am the guest will be liable to a late departure fee of R 250 per room
For a departure 11:30 am - 12 pm the guest will be liable to a late departure fee of R 400 per room
For a departure 12 pm - 12:30 pm the guest will be liable to a late departure fee of R 790 per room

MINIMUM STAY
Minimum stay = 1 night
Minimum stay during long weekends = 2 consecutive nights
Minimum stay from 11 December - 10 January = 3 consecutive nights
Should a guest like to stay shorter than the above minimum stay period required the guest will be charged for the minimum stay required
