If I didn't love people, didn't care about their needs, didn't have compassion on those who travel for hours and being in transit, I would not be able to do this special 'hobby' that keeps me up long after everyone else is sleeping, wake up before the chickens on my little farm, make take away breakfast packs for early departures nor creating THE most awesome ambiance, decorating with style, and cook with passion ....
From scratch African Silhouette is built, in 2006 after few months of self designing, no architecture but my best friend at the time, a dream became reality.
2010 and the World Cup was of course like a 'love affair". It was done with passion, zeal, excitement. Daily trips to and from O R Tambo Airport and Gautrain formed part of the free service and late night / early guest pic ups became part of our lives with few hours of sleep. Celebrating different countries in one Guesthouse, was such an experience and today I look back and rejoice that I made friends, carry memories as if it was a 'holiday romance'.... a 'season' that will never be forgotten.
I love the country atmosphere. Love Gardening and planning/landscaping and creating special rooms and areas in the garden to be enjoyed for reading, photography, picnics etc. Art (painting) & Mosaic are some hobbies. The Horses and Guinea Fowls, and our 3 dogs are but some animals I love to mention. The dam host its koi and other fish, a very tranquil place to sit next to the dam and watch the birds and fishes.
I am always on the 'hunt with my camera'for another flower or something special in my garden. Want to come and 'click' ? There is so much that South Africa offers, I love my country, it's climates in Gauteng, Nature and love to share it with others.
