Overlooking the headwaters of the Dan River and just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, a 'A Blue Ridge Haven' is nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This contemporary Appalachian style log cabin sleeps two to eight people. Made from hand-hewn Hemlock logs, the cabin is presented in a nature motif, well appointed and complete with creature comforts such as free high speed/broadband internet, gas fireplace, a well-equipped kitchen, coffee and espresso machines, washer/dryer, black walnut furniture and stone accents, linens, towels, music, movies, DVD/VHS player, games, dartboard, keyboards, telescope, iron/board, charcoal grill, etc. Cleaning is provided.
Just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, Route 58 and within a few miles of the wineries and Floydfest, the rental cabin offers the perfect setting for a family outing or an escape for two. While privately situated away from other cabins, it is not isolated. Within walking distance, enjoy Appalachia history including Chapel 'Casa de Paz', ice cream parlor (with swings for seats!), live bluegrass music, a grist mill, Christophers Pizza and more. Hike the valleys and hills and enjoy the spring fed ponds and tributaries. Within a few minutes from the property enjoy historic Mabry Mill, other sites along the Blue Ridge Parkway, and all your shopping needs in the town of Meadows of Dan. After a day in the beautiful mountains, visit nearby wineries less than 5 miles from the cabin including Château Morrisette (www.thedogs.com) and Villa Appalaccia (www.villaappalaccia.com).
