Located in the Newington area of Edinburgh only 1 mile from Princes Street the Airlie is ideally situated for travellers and business people alike. We have a large private car park, no parking worries, and the frequent bus service will take you to all areas of the City. The immediate area offers a large choice of eateries, almost all tastes are catered for, Indian, Chinese, Thai, Italian, fish and chips, hotel restaurants, pubs and a coffee house. We also have a newsagent directly opposite us plus several banks, a post office, grocery stores, a laundrette, bakery and children’s playground, all within a 5 to 10 minute walk of the Guest House. We are also within a 15 minute walk from the Festival Theatre, Queens Hall and Royal College of Surgeons.

Our rooms are comfortably furnished, all have a wash basin and most have en-suite facilities. Each room has a flat screen digital TV, tea/coffee making facilities, central heating and all the windows are secondary glazed. We have a payphone for Guests use, and an iron and ironing board, travel alarm, travel plug and hairdryer are all available on request. Broad band internet access and WiFi hotspot are also provided free of charge.

Breakfast is included in our rates and served between 8am and 9am daily. It is a full cooked breakfast and menus are available on request. Check in time is from 11.30am until 8pm and we ask our Guests to provide us with an approximate arrival time when they make a reservation. Check out is 10am.

In order to avoid fraud, only make prepayments (reservations or deposits) using a credit card (or any other card that does not require a PIN number for online purchases) or PayPal. Never make an advanced payment using cash, checks, money orders or bank transfers. Learn why.

We do not accept credit cards for payment although credit cards are required to confirm a booking. Cancellation up to 24 hours prior to arrival will not incur any charges. For cancellations less than 24 hours prior to arrival and for Guests who do not turn up to honour the booking the full charge for the Guests stay will be taken from the credit card they used to guarantee the reservaton.
