The Algoa Bay Bed and Breakfast consists of 11 en-suite bedrooms which can accommodate up to 19 individuals in a combination of single as well as twin / double rooms. Parking is off street and all units have separate entrances. All bedrooms have internet connections - internet is free with unlimited bandwidth. DSTV, laptop-size safes, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryers, a desk and a comfortable chair can also be found in each bedroom. All bedrooms have air-conditioning / heating units. The top 3 bedrooms have wonderful views of Port Elizabeth's famous King's Beach and the Indian Ocean! The communal Lounge area hosts an Honesty Bar, big screen television, comfortable lounge suite as well as complimentary filter coffee - available to all guests on a 24 hour a day basis!

In order to avoid fraud, only make prepayments (reservations or deposits) using a credit card (or any other card that does not require a PIN number for online purchases) or PayPal. Never make an advanced payment using cash, checks, money orders or bank transfers. Learn why.

Cancellations more than 28 days prior to arrival are fully refunded. A cancellation 15 to 28 prior to arrival, Full 50% deposit is forfeited. A cancellation within 14 days prior to arrival, 100% of the booking value is due this is at Management’s discretion. Where guests have not checked in by 20h00 on the day of arrival, the booking may be treated as a “No Show” if prior arrangements have not been made with the Bed & Breakfast and 100% of the total booking value is charged. Early departures do not receive refunds

Standard Terms & Conditions:

1. Bookings:
Guests are required to provide a 50% deposit to confirm the booking. Balance of payment for the accommodation is required upon check-in. To protect you and in order to comply with money laundering and other regulations, Guests may need to provide a passport or ID card. The Bed & Breakfast reserves the right to regard any booking as a “No Show” where the parties do not check-in by 20h00, unless prior arrangements have been made with the Bed & Breakfast for a late check-in. No persons other than those quoted for and booked are permitted to share the accommodation provided at the Bed & Breakfast.

2. Cancellations:

3. Check-In and Check-Out
Guests may check-in at any time from 14h00 the day of arrival. Failure to check-in by 20h00 without prior arrangements with the Bed & Breakfast in writing may result in your booking being treated as a “No Show” Guests are required to check-out by 10h00 on the day of departure. The Bed & Breakfast reserves the right to charge for an extra night or half day where guests have not checked out by 10h00, unless prior arrangements have been made with the Bed & Breakfast.

4. Breakfast:
Breakfast during the week is served from 07:00 – 09:00 am.
Breakfast over weekends is served from 08:00 – 10:00 am.
Breakfast on Public Holidays or Festive Season is served from 08:00 – 10:00
Should you require any special time for breakfast arrangements must be made with management.
We do charge a breakfast fee of R30 per child under 9 yrs and full price R50 over 9 - 18 yrs.
We cater for Halaal and Vegetarians upon prior arrangements.
We cater for Lunch & Dinners upon requests placed a day prior.

5. Disturbance:
Guests are requested to keep the televisions and general noise levels to a minimum after 21h00. The Bed & Breakfast reserves the right to require a guest to check-out and leave the premises if he/she continues to cause undue disturbances, annoy other guests or is behaving in an unacceptable manner. No refund will be made should this be incurred.

6. Valuables:
Guests with valuables are requested to store these in the safe provided in the rooms. The Bed & Breakfast does not accept any liability for loss of goods howsoever. Guests are requested to ensure that their rooms are locked at ALL times and that windows are closed when rooms are not in use.

7. Loss and Liability:
The Bed & Breakfast shall not be liable to a guest for any loss or damage to personal property or injury or death to persons where ever on the property or howsoever caused by misconduct or negligence of another guest, personnel or Act of God. Guests will be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury they may incur at the Bed & Breakfast. Guests must report any loss of or damage to their property immediately on discovery to the Bed & Breakfast Manager, and shall make they available to assist where possible.


8. Children:
Children are welcome. Under the age of 9 yrs stay for free. Children are the responsibility of the parents/caregivers and not the responsibility of the Management or staff of the Bed & Breakfast. Please take note that any breakages and or not restricted to by your child will be charged to your account. The Swimming Pool is off limits to children under the age of 8 unless with a parent/caregiver. Please consider the other guests when having your children in the communal lounge/breakfast area.

9. Swimming Pool:
The swimming pool is used at own risk. The Bed & Breakfast shall not be liable to a guest/s for any injury or death to persons howsoever caused by misconduct or negligence of another guest, the guest or Act of God.
