Situated between the coastal towns of Fish Hoek and Historic Simons Town in the quaint suburb of Glencairn, the Southern Right has been a landmark on the False Bay coast for more than a century. Originally affectionately known as "The Glen", it was first built by Scottish Architect John Parker in 1904. One hundred years later the building was officially re opened as Southern Right, thereby continuing its legacy as an important social hub for the locals, visitors and honouring the magestic Southern Right Whale that migrate to our waters each spring.
Southern Right caters not only for its guest, but also for the whole family. Children have their own play area, including a jungle gym, jumping castle and a pirate ship. While mom and dad can choose from a range of meals offered by the Flukes Restaurant`s a la carte menu.
Flukes restaurant specialises in serving up dishes that capture guests` imaginations. Portions have been described as being "whale-sized" and not only tantalise taste buds but are also aesthetically pleasing. The menu offers a variety of dishes that capture the essence of Cape cuisine, with a selection of seafood, meat and vegetarian dishes.
The Blowhole Bar at Southern Right is well known for its wide selection of the worlds finest beers, sport fanatics flok to our big screens cheering their team.
Southern Right has eight rooms and a basic English breakfast is included in your rate, along with two resident ghosts, who have made their benign presence felt to visitors, guest and staff.
The Southern Right is perfectly situated for tourist who wish to experience all that the Cape Peninsula has to offer, be it a visit to Cape Point, the Penguins at Boulders Beach, the Constantia wine Route, hiking, kayaking, diving, mountain biking, bird watching or walking with the baboons. There is no need for a lengthy commute from some large hotel in the CBD when a family-orientated establishment is situated within a minimal distance of where you want to be.

1. Guests stay at Southern Right Hotel at their own risk, and we do not accept responsibility for injury or loss or damage to property, however caused.
2. The account for accommodation and extras must be settled before departure, and the guest authorises us to debit his/her credit card for any monies due.
3. Reservations will be confirmed upon receipt of a 50% deposit of the total amount due.
4.The deposit must be received within 5 working days of the reservation, failing which this reservation will lapse.
5. If the reservation is cancelled more than 30 days before the date of arrival, the deposit will be refunded, less a cancellation fee of 10% of the contracted value.
6. If the reservation is cancelled or reduced within 30 days of the date of arrival, the deposit will not be refunded.
7. Method of payment accepted is all major credit/debit cards and direct bank transfers, please note that no cash is accepted.
