My name is TRUE. I've owned the MACON MANOR since 1999, and have been renting Apartments in it since. I moved to Stuyvesant Heights from Manhattan because I loved the feeling of community here that I haven't found anywhere else. I also find the neighborhood to be much quieter and safer than Manhattan.

The MACON MANOR is celebrating its 103rd year (1907-2010) on this quiet, safe, tree-lined, neighborly block, just steps away from the best the Neighborhood has to offer (bars, restaurants, cafés, boutiques, galleries, & more). It still retains most of its original details, and it has undergone painstaking renovations to preserve its charm and architectural integrity.
The Home is Owner-Occupied, and is located in the heart of the highly sought after Stuyvesant Heights area – the Historic District within the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, New York (home to such notables as Eubie Blake, Shirley Chisholm, Richie Havens, Lena Horne, Max Roach, Jackie Robinson, Chris Rock and many others). We’ve hosted folks from Australia, Canada, The Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Mexico, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Spain, and across the US.

We ask that a Rental Deposit of 50% of the total cost of your stay be paid in advance (via PayPal or cash) in order to hold the reservation.
We understand unforeseen circumstances may make it necessary for you to cancel or postpone your stay. Cancellations should be made in writing via e. mail to TRUE@TRUEart.biz as soon as possible, in order to ensure maximum refund amount.
Rental Deposit is 100% refundable if cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to your reserved dates; 50% refundable if made 14-30 days prior to your reserved dates; non-refundable if made less than 14 days prior to your reserved dates.
Please keep in mind that this is our policy for all cancellations – regardless of reason – even if those reasons are beyond your control (personal issues, flight cancellations, acts of GOD, etc.).
