SPEND THE HOLIDAYS in what was once part of the Mabel Dodge Luhan estate. This 3000 square foot Casa is truly extraordinary.
Once the home of iconoclast Victor Higgins and the gathering place of such artistic and intellectual greats as Ansel Adams, Thomas and Dorothy Benrimo, and Rebecca James, it is now registered as an historic landmark. The unique light upon the Old Morada seen from her guest room inspired Georgia O'Keefe to paint her famous cross series. Another guest, D.H. Lawrence, was impelled to embellish one of the antique interior doors with delightful gold leaf patterns.
The main house of this remarkable property is available for your Taos winter holiday. We also love hosting well behaved dogs, so no need to leave your best friend out of the festivities!
