Barn Cottage is a superb Bed and Breakfast, off the beaten track in the tiny rural hamlet of Woolminstone, just a couple of miles south of Crewkerne in deepest South Somerset.
VisitBritain has awarded us 4 Stars with a Silver Award for excellence, so you can book with confidence.

We offer two very attractive and comfortable en-suite King / Twin rooms with loads of thoughtful extras.
Our visitors say the beds “are to die for!” with cotton linen, light weight duvets and extra bedding available.
The rooms have dressing tables, chests of drawers, wardrobes, easy chairs, very comprehensive hospitality tray with fresh milk, filtered water, green bottle cordial etc.
Both rooms have panoramic views over lovely gardens and rolling hilly farm land.
The en suite shower rooms have everything we can think of to make you feel “at home” including soft fluffy towels to snuggle-up in.
The eco shower head has a special “impeller” to make the most of the water…… it adds air to the hot water!

We love our food at Barn Cottage and offer you a hearty, well cooked breakfast. We try to use (mostly) local and organic ingredients.
A wide range of vegetarian, vegan and alternative breakfasts is also happily offered.
Barn Cottage is set centrally in a tranquil “hidden area” of South Somerset, surrounded by hills, country lanes and organic farms and with fabulous views out over Dorset’s highest hills.
We think it is really enviably positioned for generally exploring, walking and biking.
Golf, Riding, Swimming and other sporting opportunities are very close by.

The “Jurassic Coastline” at Lyme Regis and Bridport / West Bay, is within a half hour drive, as are numerous National Trust Properties and Gardens, beautiful small “Golden Stone” villages (and pubs!) and pretty thriving market towns.

On request, we offer light suppers which can be served in your room and substantial packed lunches (and folding chairs and freezer boxes.)

“Bikers” are really very welcome. Bikes may be parked round the back of the house in safety.

And should the weather turn nasty, washing / drying facilities are readily available!
